J.D. Power and Associates certification programs help consumers identify those product and service providers that deliver a superior customer experience.
To apply for certification, a company must submit a verified customer list for survey administration. A survey based on the most recent J.D. Power and Associates industry-wide study is mailed to a representative sample of customers from the past 12 months.
When the research is completed, a management report detailing the study findings is provided. Even if the applying business does not qualify, it will benefit from the valuable, customer-based research contained in the evaluation.
In order to become certified, the applicant must meet or exceed the customer satisfaction benchmark established by the most recent J.D. Power and Associates research study in that particular industry.

New-Home Builder Certification Program
Recognizing Excellence among New-Home Builders
The Certified New-Home Builder Program is open to all new-home builders in markets not surveyed in the most recent J.D. Power and Associates National Syndicated New-Home Builder Customer Satisfaction Study.SM Certified home builders must achieve and maintain the highest levels of customer satisfaction in the overall new-home owner experience.
The New-Home Builder Certification Application Process:
Step 1—Application
Builder submits an application for the participating division(s).
Step 2—Research Study and Management Report
A new-home owner satisfaction survey based on the J.D. Power and Associates 2003 National Syndicated New-Home Builder Customer Satisfaction Study will be mailed to new-home buyers (in the previous 12-month period) in a given market area in. J.D. Power and Associates will then provide a management report that details the study findings.
Step 3—Certification
The qualifying score for certification is based on the retailer’s ability to meet or exceed the score achieved by the top 20% of new-home builders in the most recent J.D. Power and Associates National Syndicated New-Home Builder Customer Satisfaction Study.
Certification is valid for one year from the date of the initial award.
Step 4—Licensing
Upon certification, a licensing agreement must be signed, and a licensing fee paid, enabling the certified division to use the J.D. Power and Associates name and Certified New-Home Builder logo in local advertising, merchandising and point-of-purchase materials.

Power and Associates Call Center Certification Program sends a clear and unequivocal message that your call center is process-oriented, professionally managed, and focused on providing the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
The Call Center Certification Program allows companies to identify and focus on critical areas of customer satisfaction by utilizing best practices that are aligned with customer needs. The program also provides an advantage for call centers in marketing and promoting their efforts to improve customer satisfaction, thereby attracting more clients.
Eligible call centers are measured for effectiveness in the following areas: quality assurance, performance standards, management responsibilities, and recruiting and training of employees.

Luxury Hotel Certification Program
The J.D. Power and Associates Luxury Hotel Certification Program enables consumers to identify hotel properties that provide “an outstanding guest experience,”—from reservations and check-in, to room service and hotel amenities. J.D. Power and Associates compares the customer satisfaction levels of each hotel to the industry leader’s performance to determine if the hotel qualifies for certification.
The Program is open to all hotels that achieve and maintain the highest levels of customer satisfaction. Surveys will be mailed to a random representative sample of guests. Their experiences will be compared to the most recent results from the J.D. Power and Associates Luxury Hotel Guest Satisfaction Study to determine if the hotel qualifies.

The Distinguished Hospital Program
